Apple has released iTunes 10 as promised, and is now available for download to the public for Mac and Windows.
iTunes 10 includes Ping, a brand new “social music discovery tool” creates a new experience for iTunes where users can follow their friends and share their favorite music.
It appears that iTunes 10 is Jailbreak safe for now, that is to say that a new Jailbreak tool might not work with iTunes 10, but seeing as there are none out right now that require iTunes, your JailbreakMe.com exploit should be just fine. Musclenerd also informed us that we should be safe as far as DFU Mode, syncing, and custom IPSW’s go, just stay away from iOS 4.1 next week.
If you experience anything out of the norm, let us know.

While we had been under the impression that iTunes 9.2 would be released alongside iOS 4, it appears that Apple has already pushed the update for iTunes to the public, ahead of the scheduled release, June 21st, 2010.
iH8sn0w has made a public tweet saying that any “future jailbreakers” using the Spirit JB and uses iTunes 9.2, the phone will go into an infinite loop at boot. This goes for iPad users too. So if your jailbroken via Spirit, STAY AWAY FROM iTUNES 9.2 UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!!!
Thanks to feedback from the community and StealthBravo, we have confirmed that if you are ALREADY jailbroken PRIOR to iTunes 9.2 with Spirit you will be fine.
However, if you have not yet jailbroken your device and have iTunes 9.2 installed already, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO JAILBREAK. Stay tuned for updates and the community feedback for experiences with iTunes 9.2
UPDATE: Once again, if you are ALREADY jailbroken with Spirit, you should be fine. This warning comes for those who have not yet jailbroken their devices.
